My Grand Daughters Wedding

23 Dec

ImageI have not posted for the last 3 days because Saturday afternoon our first grand child to marry had her wedding. She had always said that when she was married she wanted me to perform the ceremony. I was honored to be able to do so. Even though I am not a pastor, or a full time Christian worker, I was able to get the legal approval, and my churches permission to perform it.

Preparing for the ceremony made me ponder from the beginning of my wedding up to this point. Over 42 years has flown by; five children and 14 grand children. Now a 3rd generation is inevitable at some point not far down the road. I stand amazed at the faithfulness of my great God. He is always faithful when I am not. He has been the foundation of our family from the beginning. The sure foundation from which no matter what the world throws against us He is there to protect us. This is my prayer for the generations to follow that The Lord Jesus Christ may continue to be the cornerstone, and foundation, for our family until He returns.

May The Lord God of heaven bless this union to the honor and praise of Jesus Christ.

She is so beautiful and who doesn’t love a man in uniform? I’m so thrilled for all of you. And so happy you got to officiate. How lovely! God Bless all.

Thank you Kate. She is beautiful. It was a thrill for me as well. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
