Hunger Satisfied !!!!!!

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. (Psalm 107:9)

It is well to have longings, and the more intense they are the better. The Lord will satisfy soul-longings, however great and all-absorbing they may be. Let us greatly long, for God will greatly give. We are never in a right state of mind when we are contented with ourselves and are free from longings. Desires for more grace and groanings which cannot be uttered are growing pains, and we should wish to feel them more and more. Blessed Spirit, make us sigh and cry after better things and for more of the best things!

Hunger is by no means a pleasant sensation. Yet blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness. Such persons shall not only have their hunger relieved with a little food, but they shall be filled. They shall not be filled with any sort of rough stuff, but their diet shall be worthy of their good Lord, for they shall be filled with goodness by Jehovah Himself.

Come, let us not fret because we long and hunger, but let us hear the voice of the psalmist as he also longs and hungers to see God magnified. “Oh, that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men.”

Good morning, This brought to the top of my mind, without hesitation, I’ll share my first thought. perhaps I’ve felt as if I must suppress my longing for God’s grace, believing somewhere deep in my heart, that I am not worthy of this. This certainly defines my long standing fear. I’ve longed for knowledge, peace of mind and hungered for a sense of safety, feeling truly loved and the gut level belief that I am worthy of such.
I am a child of God, and He created us all in His image, worthy of love and grace.
I struggle to believe fellow Christians who are quick to say that I am forgiven simply by proclaiming that I believe Jesus is my savior.
From a human standpoint, I know that I cannot heal, and become a true seeker of living the way my Lord intends just by saying so. If I do not confess my sins, take a deep look and admit that I committed these sins and am capable of sinning, I am doomed to repeat the same. For this moment this is my understanding of “purge”. How can I “let go, and give to God my sins, ” if I don’t examine the how and why of what led me to sin. I cannot ask for true grace, love or righteousness if I know not the truth of my actions.
I long for a deeper faith, continued courage to admit the nature of my sins, for with this I can come to believe that I AM worthy and my hunger for living the way God created us to, will be satisfied by the grace of my Lord.
pray to you OH Lord, that I may see that I have worked courageously to find my weaknesses that lead me to follow temptation, worked diligently to live righteously, that I come to believe with all my heart and soul I am forgiven. Lord forgive my hesitation and lift my fear. I long and hunger for your love, and to love myself the way you love me, to honor your beautiful creation that is me!!
May the gratitude I feel in this very moment be a constant in my state of being
Thank you for this gift of starting my day with brightly shining hope.
Wishing you a day with beauty and joy, Levi. Thankyou

Good morning Sarah. I would never say you are fine only because you say Jesus is your Savior. Repenting of your sins is a necessity in order to be forgiven. Once you have repented they are forgiven. Once you, by faith, trust Jesus as your sin bearer completely you will be saved. Please read Hebrews 10:1-18 and let me know what you think it says. Btw, im traveling today thru Sat so if i dont respond quickly thats the reason. Have a great day!!!

What a gift. That easy. He did it all for us on the cross. Be safe Levi.

I think too hunger can be good when it is for something of value like righteousness. Wanting something like that is want that is not wrong.
