I am currently at Laguardia Airport waiting for my flight back to Oklahoma. It has been a great week in NYC doing what I love and am called to do – that is to share Jesus as the Messiah and Savior to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
It has been a cold week so we spent Thursday afternoon offering hot chocolate with whipped cream to the sidewalk passerbys. Our objective in this is to show kindness, warm them up with something that taste very good, and to get into conversations with them. Relationships are how the Gospel is best shared. We always have group prayer before we begin an outreach that God will open hearts. He seldom disappoints.
On Friday 3 of us traveled to Brooklyn Heights in a mainly Jewish area and spent 3 hours working to get into conversations with folks. We all were able to get into 3 conversations each to begin a realationship, to create thoughts of their need to contemplate spiritual things from the perspective of the Bible.
I mentioned the reason I can’t write posts for the blog often is because of my time constraint. I have been working 200-250 chats a week on the Jews For Jesus Live Chat room. After planting thoughts to consider I invited these people to our Live Chat to further discuss Messiah Jesus. In total anonymity they can come and discuss. I am very happy to report to you that in the past 3 weeks 2 individual Jewish people have come to Jesus. And many others are considering with further communications taking place. Theses are from the world over and some from Israel.
My highlight of the week though came Tuesday morning. After awakening there was a Jewish person in India that was going to end his life. He was crying out in desperation and I felt the urgency of the cry. I responded to him in a lengthy response of why he should not end his life and that there is hope only in God through Jesus.
Yesterday, after returning from Brooklyn Heights, I received the greatest email saying that he was now at peace and thanked God for saving his life.
I rejoiced that God used His Word and hopefully this gentleman will follow Jesus. It’s amazing to be a small part in the propagation of the Good News of the Son of God,
I have one more prayer request if you would. Stewart and Shoshannah Weinisch, missionaries in NYC, have met for a few months sharing weekly with Paula. She asked to have a meeting with me. I met with her for an hour and a half discussing Jesus. I feel she is very near in coming to Him. Please pray that Paula will soon be saved.
May God bless each one of you as you share God’s love expressed to us in the sending of His Son for our redemption.
Until next time, Lord willing, Shalom,
